I found this Grand Tetons Journal while Christmas shopping and I decided I had to have it for myself. The leather, the clasp, and the map are all absolutely beautiful and it is an ode . The attention to detail is unmatched. This journal is something that I plan to use for years.
Dads the hardest to shop for. Or at least the one I have is and I've heard the common wisdom that middle-aged men are a pain in the ass to buy for. Something to look forward to, I guess. My millennial ass has no problem finding random trinkets and geegaws to fuel my contributions to capitalism.
I digress. Pops and I ventured to many National Parks in my youth. We hit the Tetons when I was 12 and it's one of my fondest childhood memories. Combine that with the fact that the codger fancies himself a writer in his old age and this seemed like a great gift. And it was. Old sumbitch even shed a tear or two. Getting soft in his old age. An absolutely incredible keepsake made with obvious care that I know he'll cherish for years to come. Might have to get one myself.
The entire package was amazing! From the neatly wrapped bubble wrap to the heavy black craft paper with black tape to the gorgeous journal inside, every step of opening this box was truly unwrapping a gift. Thank you so much for your attention to every little detail!
