Whether you are chronicling a bold adventure, or quietly sketching at home, this journal will remind you of a city you love.  We hand select each hide from Seidel Tannery, etch the leather with an 1876 map of St. Louis, Missouri, stitch and finish it in our studio.

This journal is made of full-grain leather and closes securely with a solid brass Sam Browne closure.  It includes a lined Moleskine notebook which can be replaced again and again. It’s a long-lasting gift for the artist, writer, or adventurer in your life.

*As we make each item by hand with natural materials, there may be slight variations in your journal from the product that is pictured. Unless otherwise specified, all items are made to order. Please allow 1-2 weeks for shipping.*

San Francisco Map journal

Thank you so much! This journal is wonderful beyond my expectations! The craftsmanship is superb, and your choice of leather for this particular journal compliments the map of my home town very well. I really appreciate the care that was put into the stitching and the burnishing around the edges. This is a lifetime heirloom.

Excellent notebook cover

Love the notebook cover, which comes with a Moleskine notebook. The engraved map is unique and perfectly executed. Great quality leather. My feedback would be, I wish the cover, or flap, was an inch wider to accommodate A5-size notebooks.

Hi Alden, Thank you so much for supporting our work, and for your very generous words! We appreciate your feedback as well. Please let us know if you'd like to discuss a custom sized cover, we've made several A5 journals for customers in the past. Thank you again!
